50 million Pounds of rescued food, distributed since Second Helpings was founded FREE OF CHARGE!
-Food/Monetary Donors & Grants, Volunteers, Agencies working together as ONE community to help those in need
-That doesn’t happen without the support of the island community and the agencies on the front lines.
-Serving those in need and the community at large is not easy, anything that changes people’s lives rarely is. We are fighting hunger one pound of food at a time, and now more than ever it’s easy to make a difference. $1.00 puts over 5 meals back into the community.
-Collaboration with Christ Lutheran, SABTS, Providence Pres., Deep Well & SH
-Serve Chimney Cove & Mid Island
-Use a refer Truck to store and house food for the Thursday distribution
Reallocation of food based on # people each agency serves. Every pound has a place to go to help our friends and neighbors in need.
Please give to places local who are making a difference, as the need is still great across the community. We are an agency that serves many pantries and soup kitchens, and we see the need firsthand. Give your time, money, food etc., every bit helps to go too those who are struggling.
