Resources & Internship Projects
LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth is the only community-based prevention coalition within Southern Beaufort County that brings together representation from all community sectors to develop and implement strategies that promote positive youth development by addressing youth substance use and related risk behaviors.
Our website serves as a community resource. It provides a number of resources for parents, youth, educators, health professionals, community, and we have a special section of mental health resources. We have a specific section on our website that has all of our E-News alerts listed that provides information on mental health and wellness topics.
During my internship, I have created a number of E-News Alerts. The most recent E-News alert that I created was for National Communicate with Your Kids Day, which is today, December 5th. One of my main projects was the creation of a fact card that provides information to parents and caretakers about communicating with their children about the importance of their health and wellness.
