The Fire District has several holiday events happening this month:
- Annual Boston Butts Fundraiser through Monday December 4th
- Letters to Santa through December 11
- Santa Truck through December 14
This year, the Bluffton Firefighter Foundation is raising money to help a fire family member whose daughter has been diagnosed with cancer. 4-year-old Revel Crosby is the daughter of Blake and Danielle Crosby. She was admitted to the Savannah Memorial Pediatric Specialty Unit for treatment. The proceeds from the sale of the smoked Boston Butts will go to help this special family.
The smoked Boston butts are bone-in and weigh approximately 7 pounds each. The suggested donation is $45 and pick up will be on Friday, December 8, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM.

- Letters to Santa kicked off Nov. 27 and will be accepted until December 11. Santa has asked many of the fire departments in our area to act as collection sites for his mail so we have location across the fire district where residents can drop of their Letters to Santa. PLEASE be sure all envelopes have a return address. Santa knows if you've been good or bad, but he may not know your address. :)
-Santa mailboxes will be out at each station from November 27th – December 11th.

Station 31 – (New Riverside) - 31 Red Barn Rd., Pritchardville

Station 33 - (Moss Creek) - 12 Buckingham Plantation Dr., Bluffton
Station 34 - (Sun City) - 25 William Pope Dr., Okatie
Station 36 - (Colleton River) - 254 Sawmill Creek Rd., Bluffton
Station 37 - (Palmetto Bluff) - 568 Old Palmetto Bluff Rd., Bluffton
Station 38 - (Hampton Parkway) - 260 Raider Dr., Bluffton
- Santa Truck started this week and runs through December 14. This year, thanks to the Bluffton Firefighter Foundation, residents will be able to track Santa's progress in real-time.
- The Santa Truck has been a BTFD tradition since 2006 when it started in the Baywood subdivision on Christmas eve. It has grown into 12 nights and now covers 71 neighborhoods.
-The Santa Truck is staffed by volunteers of the Fire District who see the truck as an opportunity to give back to the community and say Thank You for your support throughout the year.
