The Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade is a free community event created by the renowned lantern artist Chantelle Rytter. The purpose of this incredible event is to celebrate the Island's diverse culture, history, and ecology.

The parade will step off at 5:30 PM, right after sunset, and travel north along South Forest Beach from Alder Lane to Coligny Beach Park, continue along Avocet and Lagoon roads, and conclude in Lowcountry Celebration Park. Spectators can watch along the beach anywhere between Alder Lane and Coligny Beach Park, along Lagoon Road, or enjoy the finale at Lowcountry Celebration Park.

For a safe and enjoyable experience, please keep in mind the following rules:

The evening of celebrations will take place at Lowcountry Celebration Park. Guests will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful lanterns up close while enjoying performances from parade veterans The Black Sheep ensemble, Soda City Band, and the USMC Dirty Boots Band. This year, we welcome a new participant, The Atlanta Drum Academy. Additionally, live music will be featured at the park, along with food trucks and beverages available until around 9 p.m. Local band Groove Town Assault will play ahead of the parade’s arrival in the park.
