We opened with a live interview with Beaufort Academy volleyball coach Jessica Young from the parking lot of the Eagles’ state championship celebration following a 2-1 win over The King’s Academy in the SCISA 2A title game in Sumter. And Young gave us a special treat with a cameo from the champs.
We also got a plausibly live report from the stars of the May River Sharks girls golf team, as individual leader Claire Green and teammate Robbin ZETT-rauw-er gave us a recap of the first round, which ended with the Sharks atop the leaderboard.
Plus we had Bluffton Bobcats coach Hayden Gregory and Bobcats legend and Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars offensive coordinator CJ Frazier on to reflect on big wins for both programs on Friday.
And we heard from Dan Tooman and Brett Macy from Bridges Prep for an update on the Bucs before closing the show with our teams of the week, shouting out that state champ BA volleyball squad one last time and shining a light on the May River boys volleyball team for the first playoff win in program history.
