Green Initiatives for Employee Protection & Sustainability
StoneWorks is investing in sustainability to protect the longevity of our Beaufort community and their employees! Here are some of their latest "green" initiatives:
- Through resources provided by EnRG Services in Charleston, StoneWorks installed 629 solar modules at our Beaufort Fabrication Facility
- This will reduce carbon emissions by up to two tons over a 20-year period!
- The solar panels will cover 76% of StoneWorks' facility's power needs
- These solar panels provide tremendous savings on energy costs and are good for the environment
- In 2023, StoneWorks also installed a state-of-the-art water recycling and filtration system to reduce water waste
- StoneWorks also installed an air filtration system to help protect our employees from being exposed to the harmful effects of airborne silica dust
StoneWorks is paving the way forward for investing in sustainability as a small local business to create a better future for our StoneWorks team and our Beaufort community!
