Cooking for a Cure!
What: A livestream virtual cooking show fundraiser, "Cooking for a Cure!"
Why: To honor my Uncle James "Jim" Donaldson & raise funds & awareness for the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Lewy Body dementia is a disease that affects more than 1.4 million people in the US today. It is what Robin Williams was affected by and no one knew until after his passing.
Who: I will be giving a cooking demonstration because cooking is a passion of mine and I figured what better way to honor my Uncle Jim then to do a fundraiser for research, outreach and education. He was a man that would light up the room when he entered it. He was the guy to keep everyone laughing and would not hesitate to help a complete stranger off the street without expecting or wanting anything in return and he would not want credit for it. We unfortunately lost him to LBD on June 5th, this year.
