Gullah Museum Reopening / Heritage Festival July 1, 2023
The museum site contains "The Little Blue House", a Gullah house built on the Island around 1930, and the homes for migrant workers and a trailer converted into a home in the 1950s. The museum closed for renovations in May. The reopening includes all of the building which will be opened for the public. The museum's renovations of the migrant housing allowed us to become a walking museum with multiple buildings for our visitors.
The Heritage Festival on July 1, 2023 is celebrating our past and our future of the Gullah Museum.
