It's time for the fastest 4.5 minutes in the Lowco, it's time for Lowco Lights!
Starting at Beaufort High School, where the Eagles were hosting rival Battery Creek for homecoming. The Dolphins were looking for their first win, but they would not find it on Lady's Island. Robert Johnson dominated on defense in the first half, and Jadyn Andrews had another big game on the ground to lead the Eagles to a 41-6 win.
In Walterboro, it was a wild one between the Colleton County Cougars and the Hilton Head Seahawks. Nick Williams was a force on both sides of the ball for the Cougars, and Sean Williams made some big throws, including a deep ball for freshman Jakob Singleton, before Antwone McWilliams broke away for a long touchdown run. Colleton County had to hang on when Brian Hamilton picked off a pass in the end zone to seal a 26-21 win, the Cougars first region win since 2020.
In Ridgeland, Hilton Head Christian Academy stopped Thomas Heyward's winning streak and extended its own to five games with a 37-7 win. Dylan Clark made big plays with his legs and his arm, connecting often with AJ Houpt, and Zane Wilson and Reid McCollum converged on a safety and helped lead a stout effort from the Eagles' defense to contain Tony O'Banner to 125 yards and a TD on the ground.
Hampton County rolled to a 54-0 homecoming win over Edisto, as Zion Dobson had another big night running the ball and Zamone Lofties broke a pair of highlight-reel touchdowns on a punt return and a deep pass from Chris Terry, setting up a big matchup with Woodland next week.
