Bluffton Firefighter Foundation Annual Boston Butts Fundraiser
Each year, the Firefighter Cooking Team organizes a fundraiser to support local first responder families who may be experiencing financial hardship due to a health issue.
Last year, the foundation supported Revel Crosby, who was going through treatment for a rare form of cancer outside of the area.
This year, the Foundation will support two families. One is a graduate of May River High School who was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The other is a child who was diagnosed with a rare protein allergy called Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome.
The cooking team has pre-ordered 250 full bone-in Boston Butts each weighing approximately 6-7 lbs.
The suggested donation is $45. The order deadline is Monday, December 9. The pick-up date is December 13 from 3-8PM. at the BTFD Training and Maintenance Center 19 Ulmer Rd.
