September is National Preparedness Month
1) Peak Atlantic Hurricane Season is mid-September. Greatest impacts to SC have been late September into mid-October.
2) BTFD is partnering with HHIFR to send out an Emergency Preparedness Kit checklist to 40,000 residents.
3) Build a kit for each person in your home.
4) Develop a family communication plan. We are so dependent upon our mobile devices to stay in contact, but what will we do if cell service goes down or we don't have a cellphone? Write down important numbers and update them at least quarterly.
5) It's never too late to prepare. Start now!
