BJWSA continues to be challenged by extreme growth (3,000 new connections / year since 2021). We are investing to increase storage & treatment capacity but it takes longer to build a water treatment plant than an apartment building. We are struggling to keep up with morning demand, especially during hot dry months when people like to water their lawns in the mornings. If people will avoid irrigation on Mondays and stagger irrigation based on their house number, we can manage supply until our Purrysburg water plant expansion is complete next summer.
