As we celebrate USCB's 20th anniversary of four-year degree granting status and the Bluffton Campus, it is noteworthy to recall where we have been including the difficulty in getting equitable state investments in this part of SC back then.
Beaufort County had to make a deal that was too good for the state to turn down: Beaufort County committed $40 million through a TIF District conditioned on the state granting four-year degree status.
