Hey, it’s time for Last Night in the Lowco on WHHI, powered by LowcoSports.com!
It was a slow night on the LowcoSports scene Monday, allowing us to catch our breath before a busy Tuesday night of high school hoops, but we did have a handful of games on the schedule, so let’s dive in.
Hilton Head Christian Academy’s dynamic boys team stayed busy with its third game in four days, and the Eagles had enough left in the tank to scrape out a 53-47 win at Bethesda Academy in Savannah for their third straight victory following back-to-back defeats against tough competition from Georgia.
Harrison Skinner had the hot hand once again for the Eagles, pouring in 22p to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Elijah White added 10 points and six boards. HHCA has a tough test at home Friday against Hammond.
Patrick Henry was at home on The Farm for a visit from Calhoun Academy, and the Patriots started things off on the right foot as Lillian Lucas racked up 22 points and six rebounds in a 37-23 win, but the boys ran out of gas in a 75-70 loss thanks to a bench depleted by ilIness and injury. PHA had only six healthy players and four of them scored in double-digits led by Hugh Fairey’s 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
The Patriots will run it right back tonight in The Reef at Cross Schools.
