New federal law could have a big impact on employees with student loans
Ninety-one percent of young adults are so stressed about money they feel it’s impacting their wellness; now is the time for companies to help their employees achieve financial freedom.
A new law goes into effect on Jan. 1 that will make it easier than ever for companies to help their employees pay off their student loans while also saving for the future. This is important because 91% of young adults with student loans are so stressed about money, they say it’s impacting their health, according to a recent survey. A key driver of this financial stress is student loan debt.
Many people with school debt must choose between paying their monthly student loans or contributing to their 401(k)s. The new law will make it easier for companies to help their employees do both — pay down student loan debt while saving for the future. And this will mean improved finances and wellness for many viewers/listeners today and in the long term.
