Introducing the Ochsner and Novant Health 65 Plus Clinic - Okatie

We are excited to bring this innovative program to South Carolina. The clinic is located at 50 Terrace Drive in Ridgeland, SC. Ochsner 65 Plus clinics are designed specifically for the unique needs and interests of older adults - everything from the colors of the walls to the types of floors to the unique care offerings that center all around patients who are 65 and older.
A big part of Ochsner Health’s commitment to patients is bringing care close to home, which is incredibly important for our senior population. This comprehensive program provides customized primary care and social and wellness offerings all in one location. And the benefits extend beyond medical to include opportunities for patients to participate in activities that match their interests and lifestyles, from cooking demonstrations to card games. At Ochsner 65 Plus, we are driven by a strong vision: to empower older adults in our community to live healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives.
Ochsner designed 65 Plus to meet the unique and complex health needs of older patients. We understand that these individuals deserve specialized healthcare services that cater to their needs, goals and preferences. We specialize in common conditions experienced by older adults and aim to provide the best care possible, along with social and wellness features.
We build a multidisciplinary team to create and provide a customized care plan just for them – each one. Ochsner 65 Plus patients enjoy extended one-on-one time with their primary care doctors. This gives us the time to listen, talk, and plan the best path forward together.
We specialize in conditions commonly seen in older adults, such as:
Arthritis and painful joints
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Dementia
Diabetes
General weakness and frailty
Heart failure
And we offer a variety of additional services, including:
Balance services for monitoring and managing fall risks
Basic labs
Community room with daily social events
Health coaching
Hearing and vision screenings
Fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and free weights

Beyond traditional healthcare services, we’re proud to offer our participants opportunities to get involved in activities that match their interests and lifestyles. Beyond our fitness center, we’ll offer social events and activities, such as guest speakers, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, card games, chair yoga and tai chi. You’ll find many exciting opportunities to get involved and stay active when you come here.

Ochsner 65 Plus accepts traditional Medicare and Humana Medicare Advantage Plans, along with the Humana Medicare Supplement plans.
