Beaufort Free Pregnancy Care
We are Beaufort's only faith-based, free pregnancy care center.
Our center is a confidential refuge for those seeking help with an unplanned pregnancy.
Appointments begin with peer counseling, a chance for our clients to share their challenges and fears and prayerfully access life-affirming options. If our client is considering abortion, we want her to be fully educated about it. This may seem counterintuitive, but we believe she needs to be fully informed about the procedures, risks, potential effects, and her rights. Again, we look for the opportunity to educate her about All her options and hope she will choose a life-affirming one.
RNs perform pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to confirm pregnancies.
The ultrasound is a way to show there is life in the womb and help the mother understand this is not just a blob of tissue.
Our center provides other support programs like parenting classes-where participants earn points that can be used to purchase baby items in our baby boutique. Man2Man is our father's support program-we have trained volunteer mentors who come alongside our dads in whatever ways will serve them best as they prepare for their important role of fatherhood.
We have a community referral list to help our clients connect with resources they may need in addition to our services at Radiance.
We are funded through donation support from our community.
The organization has been in existence for 38 years. We operate with a small, paid staff and volunteers who help support us to meet the needs of our clients.
