Wayne Morris

Wayne Morris joined WHHI-TV as a part of the new ownership group in June of 2006. Before joining WHHI-TV he worked for Raycom Media in Columbia, SC. Wayne received a Marketing Degree from Clemson University in 2004. Wayne currently serves as General Manager for WHHI-TV and as Chief Operating Officer for Byrne Acquisition Group (WHHI-TV Parent Company). He is married to Ashley Morris and has 3 children: Sophie, Steven, and Sarah.

Latia Nelson

Latia Nelson serves as WHHI-TV’s Communication Manager and has been with the company since 2015. She holds two degrees in liberal arts and business administration and marketing and has over 10 years of experience in visual media arts and branding. Latia is a Lowcountry Gullah native, creative designer, master storyteller, and supermom of 2 little boys.

Susan Green

Susan Green joined the WHHI-TV family in June of 2019. She’s been a resident of the area since 1985, and prior to WHHI-TV, she had a 30-year marketing career at The Island Packet, a McClatchy Company. She is married to a local retired Hilton Head firefighter and has 5 sons. 

Marty Student

Marty Student brings over 40 years of broadcast sales and marketing experience to the Lowcountry. After having spent 38 years in broadcast radio in Akron, Ohio, Marty felt it was time for a change and time to get out of the cold. So, he moved his family to Beaufort, SC, to slow things down a bit. Fortunately, he was contacted by WHHI-TV and has become an integral part of their sales promotion team since 2015.

Jessica Kirk

Jessica Kirk is originally from Indiana, where she attended Indiana University majoring in Corporate Communications and Marketing. She has been in sales for over 10 years, and has been with WHHI-TV for 2 years. She has a passion for finding creative solutions to fit every client’s personal needs. She has a great husband, two dachshunds, and she loves living in the Lowcountry, enjoying the beach!

Debbie Douglass
(and Pearl)

Debbie Douglass is an Account Executive and has been with WHHI-TV for 6 years. She has been a resident of Hilton Head Island since 1985 and has over 25 years of local media sales and marketing experience. She’s had the pleasure of raising her adult son and doggie daughter, “Pearl”, on this beautiful island. She loves the beach, boating, bird watching, oyster shell crafting, and Daufuskie Island.

Jeremy Pope

Jeremy was born and raised in Southwest Virginia. Despite receiving an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Drafting, he decided to take up video as the family trade. Working with two local channels, as well as freelance work, gave him the opportunity to hone his skills in filming and editing. Jeremy began working with WHHI-TV when he moved to the Lowcountry in 2011 and has enjoyed being close to the local community ever since. He currently resides in Bluffton with his wife and son.

Gustavo Rattia

Gustavo Rattia is a Systems Engineer who graduated in Venezuela and works as Production Coordinator at WHHI-TV. His main role consists of operating cameras in the studio, producing and editing commercials, on-location filming, planning, and organizing studio sets and motion graphics design, among other responsibilities. Based in the Lowcountry since 2015, he has participated in many projects and productions in the area of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Savannah, and Charleston, including social events and commercial projects. He is proud to call this place home. Gustavo is a licensed Remote Pilot by FAA and a member of the Professional Photographers of America Organization.


Jessica Sarrett

Jessica Sarrett moved to Hilton Head Island 5 years ago, and has been the General Sales Manager at WHHI-TV since 2016. She attended Blufield State College on a full softball scholarship, and immediately began working in marketing and media sales upon graduation, totaling over 14 years of experience. Aside from marketing experience and knowledge, she is also a licensed captain and enjoys fishing any chance she gets. In her spare time, she also enjoys fitness and yoga – because it’s good for the soul. She has the most amazing daughter who keeps her on her toes, and is her motivation for everything she does. Jessica feels truly blessed to work at WHHI-TV with her wonderful staff, and loves the beautiful Lowcountry!
