June 21, 2019, Ridgeland, S.C. – Humble beginnings. The little town in-between Jasper and Beaufort was no bigger than a mile when it was founded, no larger than a dot on a map. However, as time goes on the little town known as Ridgeland has experienced exponential growth since its founding in 1912, increasing its size to 45 square miles, and it only plans to keep on growing.
Now that town is celebrating its 125th birthday and they are urging the public to come out and help celebrate this milestone. They will be holding a free event this Friday, June 21, 2019, from 6 – 10 p.m. at Harold Turpin Park, 878 Logan St. There will be live performances from The Mighty Kicks, food trucks, face painting and other fun events for kids.
Make sure to stop by to celebrate the town’s growth and accomplishment of 125 years.
