August 5, 2019, Bluffton, S.C. – Esther Wagner, a member of the anti-litter group PalmettoPride, is picking up litter in every South Carolina county. The volunteer is scheduled to be in Beaufort County tomorrow Tuesday, August 6, at 10:30 a.m. on Mammy Grant Road (off May River Road) in Bluffton. As part of the County’s ongoing litter pick-up efforts, Beaufort County Public Works employees will accompany Ms. Wagner while she helps clean up local roadways.
PalmettoPride is South Carolina’s anti-litter and beautification organization and was created by the State legislature to fight litter and keep our state clean, green and beautiful. PalmettoPride aims to educate the public on the impacts of litter to help prevent it, enforce the current litter laws, bring awareness to the issue, and encourage and empower groups to take ownership of their communities.
